Time to Exchange



 

On June 15, a big conference hall of National University of Management (NUM) was fulfilled by hundreds of students who come to listen to the presentation of the new project of AIESEC based in NUM and University of Puthisastra (UP).

“I will integrate myself through this project,” Said Um Youran, senior student of NUM.
The new project named “Cambodia Exchange Learning”, and it is running by AIESEC in NUM and UP and international members of AIESEC. The main purpose of this project is to share soft skill needed for youth between international students and local students.

In this occasion, Vuthika, representative of AISEC in NUM and UP said it is a great opportunity for student is NUM to exchange their both their knowledge and experience with foreign students.

This project will start from July 23 to August 27, 2012 at NUM, and it offers two shifts. Morning shirt will start from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. while afternoon shift commence from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Students who wish to enroll in this course have to spend 3 dollars.

This 4 weeks course focuses on 4 topics. First week will concentrate on cultural introduction which aim to broaden student mindset about world culture and the important of understanding cultural diversity.

Then, the second week will cover university life which talking about learning style, tips in preparing for exam and assignments,  non-academic student activities, and importance to improve soft skill.

The third week is a special week which studies how to make a powerful presentation, while the last week will touch on project and event management.

Ung Virak, president of NUM student association, said students who enroll in this course will gain some benefits like got certificate from AIESEC NUM and UP and NUM association, having chance to improve soft skills, making more international friends and understand other countries culture.

After that a three year old student organization, was founded in early 2009 and thousands of students have already been engaged in various AIESEC programs.

This organization is offering young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment. Our members are part of an exciting, driven global network. They are able to contribute to societal change while exploring their own vision for a positive impact on society.
